Brennan Family Scholarship

Criteria:

Recipient shall be a graduate of Chadron High School and prepared academically to pursue a degree in the health profession field.

The criteria for award of the Brennan Family scholarship closely reflect the family's relationship with Chadron and Chadron State College. Three generations have enjoyed accomplishments associated with the college. The association began with the appointmnet of Terry Brennan to his twenty-four year tenure as CSC Director of Library Services. Soon after, Carolyn enrolled in college classes, culminating in her honors graduation in 1991. Eldest son, Blair, graduated the following year and eventually became the college's coordinator of renovation and construction projects. The health sciences component of the scholarship is reflected in two family members' work, one in the health service office at the college, the other as a Nebraska family physician. Others of this generation have included a member of the rodeo team, a member of the first RHOP class, and a successful businessman. A third-generation family member is a two-year starter on the CSC volleyball team. The family views this scholarship as a fitting reflectional of a mutually rewarding relationship.
